Like Jupiter, Tequesta's population is changing and younger families are making this town their home. The opening of a new library on Old Dixie Highway began the revival of the central downtown area. The Tequesta Oaks subdivision is also a part of the new town center area.

Tequesta is in the middle of the first phase of transforming the new Village Center into a brilliant complex. The new Mediterranean-style complex is centrally located just west of U.S. Highway 1. The beautiful new Village Center will include retail shopping, restaurants, business, and the village offices.
